Details of next year’s Windex/Carpex seminar programme have been announced by event organiser Quartz Publishing & Exhibitions. Developed for everyone involved in window cleaning, carpet cleaning and carpet restoration, the two day programme will be held on 27th-28th March at the Ricoh Arena in Coventry.  Dubbed as upbeat and informative, expert speakers promise sound information and industry advice to help delegates take their businesses to the next level.

A popular bi-annual event in the window/carpet cleaning industry calendar, over half of all delegates at the last Windex/Carpex exhibitions in 2006 attended the seminar programme.  An impressive 92% of attendees said the sessions were informative.

Educating & Inspiring Programme
The programmes (which are managed by the Federation of Window Cleaners - FWC and The National Carpet Cleaners Association – NCCA, respectively), will cover a full and varied range of hot topics pertinent to both industries.  Seminars will share new thought and knowledge from industry leaders whilst educating and inspiring delegates to take away new ideas for implementation in their own businesses.

The Windex Seminar Programme
Windex 2008 seminar topics will include:  Work at height regulations, health & safety, employment law, franchising, rope access, ladders and water fed poles to name a few.  Commenting on next year’s programme, Bryan Dolby, Chairman of the FWC said; “In my opinion, the most important subject we’ll be covering is Health & Safety.   The bond we have with the Health & Safety Executive is excellent!  They take their time to provide information to our industry and this is so important. I would urge everyone to attend this seminar and to apply what we are told.”

The Carpex Seminar Programme
Carpex 2008 seminar topics will include:  Health & Safety, employment law, high loss drying - commercial and industrial, hard floor cleaning & preparation, rug cleaning and marketing for carpet cleaning/restoration businesses.  Paul Pearce, Technical Director of the NCCA, commenting on the Carpex programme said; “It’s all about attending with an open mind to learn, change and improve the way we work in the industry.”  Paul continues: “We have tried to be more upbeat this time while still keeping it fun.  We’ve created a broad programme which covers carpet cleaning and restoration.  They work hand in hand, just look at recent floods where services of specialists from both areas were needed.  Key topics like Health & Safety and employment law are on the agenda and growth sectors such as rug cleaning and commercial restoration will be discussed too.”

The seminars will be held over two days in theatres with a 150 delegate capacity.  Attendance to all seminars is free and places will be available on a first come first served basis.  For a full seminar programme visit www.windex.co.uk and www.carpex.co.uk

Life begins at 40!
2008 will be particularly special for the NCCA as it reaches its 40th year.  Members can celebrate at the gala dinner which will be held on the first evening.  Comments Paul Pearce:  “We’ll be pulling out all the stops and intend to have a great event all round.  It will be one to remember.  After all, they do say life begins at forty!”

Suppliers, innovation, networking, demonstrations, suppliers, market research… Benefits abound
Of course if you attend the Windex/Carpex seminars that’s just a small part of the total industry experience that awaits you.  The Windex/Carpex exhibitions provide an excellent opportunity to visit specialist suppliers, see the latest product innovations and live demonstrations, network with key industry players, buy equipment and do your market research.  Windex/Carpex could be one of the best investments you make in your business next year.  Don’t miss out!  Do remember that attendance to both shows/seminars is free for all qualifying individuals.
