New international competition to be launched
The Guinness Book of World Records and The Federation of Window Cleaners, (formerly known as The National Federation of Master Window & General Cleaners), have announced the launch of ‘The Fastest Window Cleaner on the Planet’ competition.
The competition will be held at the Windex exhibition on 27th-28th March 2008 in Coventry, England. Competition organisers are calling record holders and challengers the world over to come forwards to compete for the title. Could you be the lucky winner?
‘The Fastest Window Cleaner on the Planet’ competition, as its name suggests, is open to professional window cleaners around the globe. Current national record holders will be admitted to the competition plus one challenger per country. Record holders must verify that they have the fastest national time before being allowed entry to the competition. It is free to enter the competition and the deadline for entries is 7th January 2008.

Carpex & WINDex, the UK’s largest specialist exhibitions for professional carpet and window cleaners have announced dates for 2008. A new state of the art venue has been chosen and to top it all, exhibitor numbers look set to give the last events held in 2006, a real run for their money!
Taking place on 27th and 28th March next year, the shows, both organised by Quartz Publishing & Exhibitions Limited, (organisers of The Cleaning Show and publishers of C&M magazine) will be held for the first time at the multi-purpose Ricoh Arena in Coventry. Since opening for business in the summer of 2005, the £113 million development has proved a huge success attracting more than 1 million visitors in the first 12 months.
